This email is a continuation of the previous one. You can read it by clicking here.
Hey! How you doing?
This is a special email so read until the end!
I was less focused on Twitter this week. I don't know if you even noticed because I still try to post at least 3 times a week.
But I barely replied to my comments and my DMs. And that's ok!
When you do something, you need to be consistent. It doesn't mean you need to be at 100% every day.
It means you have to show up every day and do the job. And these little actions, over 1 year, will create something amazing.
Now that I said that, let me tell you what happened this week.
Finishing the new dashboard
If you're new here, I've been working on the new dashboard for WideBundle for quite some time now.
In 2022, one of our goals is to reduce churn and increase the acquisition rate.
And your dashboard is really important here. It's not even about new features.
We interviewed many users to understand their feeling about the current dashboard.
We analyzed the support tickets we received and our data.
With these 3 points we came up with a new design for the dashboard. And we started to work on it.
And during the building process we've been talking to our users to know what they think about it. We're in an iteration loop. Always.
Today, I'm happy to say that we finished the dashboard. I just need to create the translations here. If you remember, our app is in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German.
And by the way, we didn't choose these languages randomly. They were carefully picked based on the data, again.
After the translation is done, we won't be ready to release it yet.
I'll spend most of my days recording videos and writing articles for the helpdesk.
We just follow the process. New feature (or new dashboard) comes with new articles, new support processes and new training for the team. I suggest you follow the same process.
At that moment, I'll be able to tease the release date with our users.
I wanted to finish it quickly. So I spent more time building, than sharing. And again, that's ok.
You shouldn't do perfectly 50% on marketing and 50% on building. You have to be realistic. Sometimes you need to spend time building. Sometimes doing marketing.
If you're reading this email, congrats. You're one of the first people to hear that.
And if you've read this email this far, congrats again! 🤩
I believe in Shopify Apps and I think the ecosystem is still early. And I want to help it!
To do that, the first step was to create this Twitter account. And also this newsletter.
But it's all about me, me, me. And I don't want that. That's why the 2nd step is to use the reach I have on Twitter to create the best private community around Shopify Apps!
I'm talking about a group where you can learn the best strategies, get help from others, and become a better founder.
So I have one question for you, are you in?
If yes, you can fill this form
Not everyone will be able to join it now. We'll slowly open seats. I want to do things properly!
You're subscribed to this newsletter so you receive this first but in a few days I'll announce it on Twitter!
I hope you're as excited as I am now; I'm super happy to build it!
I'll wait for you.
Until then,
Have a great week!
Mat 😁
