This email is a continuation of the previous one. You can read it by clicking here
Hey!
I'm writing this email from a small village near Porto (Portugal).
If you've read my last email, you know I was near Lisbon. But I changed!
My dad comes from this village. And I'm visiting my family!
I have to say that it makes me happy. Even if I don't have excellent internet there, it's working.
I rest a little and prepare myself for September!
Today is a special day. We reached 10,000 followers on Twitter!
Those who have been following me for a long time already know it but: 10,000 followers was my goal when I started.
In December 2021, I told myself I wanted to take Twitter seriously. I had 600 followers at that time.
And look today at how many I have! Many things can happen in a short time.
So really, thank you very much for that! It means a lot!
Remember that setting up a goal is important. But even more important is setting up a plan to reach this goal.
For this 10,000 followers goal, I broke it down into smaller goals: 1,000 followers per month.
That way I can reach them faster and stay motivated.
And then for each sub-goal you need to create a plan that you can control.
For example, I will write 3 tweets daily and at least 1 thread weekly. Then I will engage with 10 accounts every single day.
For WideBundle it's something like:
I want a $50,000 MRR. I break it down into multiple sub-goals (decrease churn, increase conversion rate, etc).
Then for each subgoal I set up a plan to reach them.
And remember CON-SIS-TEN-CY.
It's not about being at 100% every day. It's about being at 70% day 1, then 65% day 2, then 85% day 3, etc...
I had 2 goals. The first one was to get 10,000 followers. We did it!
The second one was to reach 1,000 subscribers to this newsletter, the one you're currently reading. We're at 850 when I'm writing.
And same thing here, I need to stay consistent!
If you want to help me reach that goal, please forward this email to someone who might be interested in my newsletter!
For the moment I'm taking some time for myself, to rest and prepare Q4.
Then I will go back to Paris and start hustling again! With the community, content and more MRR for my apps 🚀
This email is shorter than the other ones, it's more about sharing my achievement and what I'm currently doing.
But remember, it's not about being at 100% every day. It's just about showing up.
I received many questions recently regarding influencers
How do I work with influencers? How do I make them promote my apps?
First of all, we mostly work with French influencers. We have something in common and they already knew me so it's easier.
That's always the first thing I suggest. Make sure you build a relationship with people or make sure that they already know you:
Engage with their content
Buy what they sell
Go to live events where they are
Become an influencer too (Twitter account)
Then we have 2 ways to work with influencers:
Paid post
Commissions
The first way is paying the influencer to post content on social media. It's usually better for the influencer. He gets money right away. But not so great for you.
The influencer will usually take it less seriously because they got the money after posting no matter what happens.
The second way is better, you pay the influencer based on how many customers they bring you. That's how we usually work with French influencers (I know American influencers prefer to get paid directly).
So for influencers, we give them a unique link and they will earn money every month based on how many users from the link are paying.
We have some influencers that receive money from us since 2020!
It's great for us because you don't have to pay for anything if the influencers don't bring new installs. And they will be more likely to create good content because if they get a lot of installs they will make more money.
When we search for influencers we choose them based on engagement and channels.
Youtube > Facebook Group > Instagram
So if an influencer has a Youtube channel it usually means more engagement and a youtube video will bring new installs even months after posting.
When we contact them we go straight to the point using this structure:
[Say who you are]
[Say something personal about their content]
[Ask them what you want]
[Show social proof]
[Call to action]
For example:
Hey there, I'm Mat, the founder of WideBundle
I've been following you for months now (especially your videos about Y)
We have an affiliate program on WideBundle and I'd like to know if you would be interested in it? It's basically you promoting the app
We already have 2300 users, we are #4 for keyword "bundle" in the app store and we are already working with [Another influencer they know]
Is it something you're interested in? We will obviously pay you for that
Let me know,
Mat
Go straight to the point, it's not necessary to explain everything you did.
Then we will negotiate
Once we agree on something I will create a unique link on the affiliate dashboard that we made, it's simple:
The name of the influencer, his affiliate link, the number of users using the app, the money he will receive every month
We try to push them and help them create content for their community.
That's it for this week!
Don't forget to forward this email to a friend to reach the 1,000 subscribers goal!
See you next week,
Mat
