Hey, how are you?
In this email I want to talk about my 2nd app that most of you probably don’t know if you didn’t do some research.
Because most of you know me for creating WideBundle that I created in 2020.
Yet, in 2021, I built another app that I still have today: WideReview
My initial goal was to build 5 different Shopify Apps. But when I saw how complicated it was to handle one app already, I decided to stop it.
But the process I used is still interesting…

30,000 followers
Here we are. I reached 30,000 followers on Twitter. What a journey it has been.

In December 2021 I decided to share how I built WideBundle.
I showed the processes I used, the marketing, with the wins, the losses, and everything that comes with it.
I didn’t expect the account to grow quickly because I wasn’t sure if many people would be interested.
What happened is that the first month I reached 1,000 followers.
Then 2,000, the month after
Then 3,000 the next one
Until we reached 10,000 around August.
That was wild!
And today, almost 4 years later, we are at 30,000.

The growth of WideReview
After building WideBundle in 2020, I built WideReview in 2021.
I challenged myself on that one.
Was I lucky with WideBundle? Or did I discover a proven process to grow an app that actually works?
Here is what I did:
I didn’t use WideBundle’s user base. Instead, I followed the exact same principles I used for WideBundle.
And the question was simple: Can I replicate it?
And I did! In a few weeks, I took WideReview from $0 to $1,500 MRR. The beginning of everything. The most complicated part.
And here is what I did, with actual screenshots that prove my point.
1. Communities: spotting the spark
Back then, “community” meant hanging out on someone else’s platform, and that’s exactly where I started. I flipped the switch from consumer-mode to creator-mode:
Read every post and comment.
Detect the underlying pain.
