Let’s dive in!

Mat’s Diary

Is my number of installations back on track?

December isn’t a great month for me. đŸ€’

Every December I have this problem where I get fewer installs so I’m well-prepared now.

There is even another thing: The valley of hope

It happens after December at the beginning of January when you usually start to get more installs and you feel like “Yes we’re back!”

But at the end of January, it decreases again.

That’s the valley of hope 😅

And usually it starts again to increase in February for the coming year.

And next week (or the other one) I may show you the number of installs decreasing again before going up in February.

If you’re having the same growth curve, don’t worry! 😁

We’re going to double our MRR without doing anything

That sounds interesting right? You don’t do anything and you suddenly have your MRR that doubles. đŸ€©

Well this is similar to it.

It won’t double overnight but it might increase over a few months.

There is only 1 way to increase your MRR like this without doing anything: Changing your prices. 💰

You either:

  • Increase your prices

  • Release a new plan

  • Update your pricing strategy

2 months ago you know I started testing a new pricing. I followed the strategy:

  • Test the price for a week on new users

  • Put back old pricing

  • Analyze for a month

  • Do it another month if the first month was promising

Well I finished the 2-month testing and the results are astonishing!

During that test we divided our high churn by 2! Immediately pushing the LTV to another level.

We’ll release the pricing in the coming days and if the results stay like that, it means we will grow by a lot!

As always, I don’t want to share something if it doesn’t work with me so in the coming months if I see that the results are great I’ll share the completely strategy with you!

My practical method for getting your first 10 users in 2024

1- Direct Outreach Twitter/Instagram Create a good looking personal profile with links to your app and what you do.

Make it simple but professional. Look for merchants using keywords like Shopify, Shopify Store, ecommerce, 7-figures, etc

Send a personalized DM explaining:

  • Who you are

  • What problem you’re solving with your app

  • Quick CTA to go for the next step

Improve your message as you get more experience through it. Send 50 DMs on Twitter and 50 DMs on Insta Follow up 24 hours after if they don’t reply up to 2 follow-ups.

2- Tweet 3 times a day about e-commerce and how your app solves the problem.

See what gets traction At the same time you need to engage with bigger accounts (5 comments a day)

3- Follow 20 people per day related to e-commerce by looking into the followings of e-commerce influencers Be active and engage with their account

4- Direct Outreach Linkedin We’ll do the same as we did on Insta and Twitter.

Get 10 connections each day with merchants. Whenever you find a merchant, look at the comments and likes to find more brands owner

Every day post something related to your app and how you solve the problems.

Remember it’s all about the problems you solve Contact 10 different people per day to engage (create relationships, don’t sell your app there, they’ll check it by themselves over night)

5- Engage with every user

When you have them on your app you need to engage daily with them, get them even on Whatsapp so you know about their problem.
